Gabriel Garcia Marquez books (brand new!)

I am selling these lovely babies. They are from the Penguin Fiction series, the UK edition. Take note, these are BRAND NEW, with price tags intact, still with plastic cover which I bought at regular prices.

STILL AVAILABLE:
The Autumn of the Patriarch - P350 (originally P609)
In Evil Hour - P300 (orig. 545)

The Story of the Shipwrecked Sailor - P300 (orig. P545) - SOLD!
No One Writes to the Colonel - P300 (orig. 545) - SOLD!

I can't bear to just give them away to just anyone, as they are GGM, they ARE brand new, and I'd like them to end up with someone who will LOVE them. (corny but true!)

I'm selling them because they don't fit with my other GGMs that are a different edition. Call me fickle minded. But then maybe I can buy some more new books!

If any one is interested, PM me. I can ship via 2go after any bank deposits. Additional cost for shipping (46-60+ depending on where you

Hard pressed for cash?

You may want to consider selling your DNA. They pay $5000.

Aside from that come-on, you also help researchers. But beware, they could actually hold the patent to your DNA (insert The Twilight Zone music here *)

"Thanks to the U.S. Patent office, your DNA can be patented, protecting your blueprint and putting your DNA on file for scientific purposes."

Like it's a good thing.
More weirdness

I don't know how long this tag has been going on. I'm unreliable with tags because if I'm not feeling it, I can;t answer.

Anyway, somehow I got through this one from Lynette. Here are the rules:

"Each player of this game starts with 6 weird things about himself or herself. People who get tagged need to write a blog entry of their own as well as state the rule clearly. In the end, you need to tag 6 people as well and list their names. "

I can’t grow my nails long. I just can’t. There is nothing logical about it, I just can’t. The moment they start looking manicure ready, I cut them off, or worse, start biting them.

I can raise my left eyebrow … only the left eyebrow and the right one doesn't move at all. And I can make my nostrils flare at will.

I’m kind of hairless. I don’t have any noticeable hairs on my arms. And I have very thin hairs in my nose.

I detest the smell of any laundry detergent (I can tolerate Mild variant of Perwoll, but barely). It makes me sneeze...

Haruki Murakami: The Official Website

Another favorite on my bedside table. A writer for our generation.

"Murakami's fiction, often criticized for being "pop" literature by Japan's literary establishment, is humorous and surreal, and at the same time reflects an essential alienation, loneliness, and longing for love ... In addition, Murakami's writing has also been criticized because of his portrayal of Japan's obsession with capitalism. Through his work, he was able to capture the spiritual emptiness of his generation and explore the negative effects of Japan's work-dominated mentality. His writing criticizes the decrease in human values and a loss of connection between people in Japan's capitalist society." - from Wikipedia

I need your advice

Maintaining multiple blogs can be quite crazy at times. The reason why
this blog (this being the original one too) has been so unupdated is
because I have two other blogs:

my food blog "where in the world shall i eat today"

Dui's blog

and others which i've just forgotten about :)

It goes without saying that I am not touching Dui's blog. This is more for family and friends.
But what to do with this blog and the foodie thingy?

What with customization now possible here in multiply plus the fact
that blogcharm isnt "making me money" (as it claims it would), why
bother? I also noticed that the most commented/visited items here in
multiply are in fact my foodie related posts. Oh, and setting privacy
here "seems" to be better.

Anyway ...
I'd love to hear from anyone out there who pops in here, even once in a while. :)
.:: Welcome to GEOX site ::.

If you suffer from sweaty feet, here's the solution. Thought you might like a heads up that The Podium now carries the renowned brand Geox, the breathable shoe."

Caught the Geox story on Discovery Travel and Living. It was an idea whose time had come. The inventor, Italian Mario Moretti Polegato, was out jogging and hated the fact that after each run, he has sweaty feet. So he punched tiny holes in the bottom of his running shoes so that they could "breathe". He then proceeded to contact shoe manufacturers to sell this idea, but he was turned away, again and again. What else could he do ... he so believed in his product that he decided to produce his own.

So was born the Geox empire. It is now the leading shoe brand in Italy.

"Geox shoes have soles with tiny holes in them. The holes let heat to escape, allowing feet perspire and breathe naturally. Amazingly, these same souls do not allow water or cold in. These special soles keep feet cool, and consquently, better-smelling." ...

Human For Sale - Currently over 5.3 million humans for sale!

If you have nothing to do, or want to just kill a little time, try this funny quiz. Kind of long-ish though (and I gave up halfway through because I couldnt admit my real age, among others ...)

"Have you been thinking about putting yourself up for sale lately? Ever wonder how much money you could get on the open human market? HumanForSale.com will attempt to place a value on your life using a variety of criteria in 4 basic facets of life (physical, mental, lifestyle, personality). This is obviously a very subjective matter and is not intended and does not claim to be scientifically accurate."

Note the disclaimer. I know for a fact that I am priceless
